Batiss and Anne Singer present the new Home Couture collection signed by the French designer. Developed by the Maison Creative Director and Anne Singer united by their shared savoir-faire, exceptional quality and sophisticated taste.
Anticipating the release of our first complete collection created with Anne Singer, to be launched in London on February 12th, we sit down for a cup of tea with the French creative, chatting about art, design, and, of course, the collection.
Anne, who studied at the Institut National des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and creatively conceived linens since 1982, is a creative at heart. In this new creative endeavor, she has been “mixing colours, fabrics and embroideries to highlight a potpourri of ideas for all tastes and locations”.
She enjoyed working in a field such, as home linens and porcelain, which is artisanal and gave her the chance to study china and re-create beautiful objects with pigments, pastes and new tools.
At the end of this winter, our creative director and Anne partnered to devise a new exclusive collection. Drawing and reinventing some of the all-time classics from the Maison historical archive, Anne and the House Creative Director added a personal touch to the house’s most famous embroideries, redefining them to reflect a shared personality. With a similar approach and their affinity with chic and elegant urban interiors, the linens of the home collection cover all home environments: bedroom, bathroom and dining room.
This Home Couture collaboration embodies a perfect fusion between the savoir-faire and the obsession with quality of the two creatives, experimenting on patterns and décors that emphasize the Maison's manufacturing dexterity. Handcrafted sourcing only the highest quality fabrics in light and smooth weaves of cotton and flax linen, newly developed embroideries celebrate playfulness and joy. The pure white of the fabrics is joined by the rich hues of drangée pink and turquoise, minimal and geometric embroidered diamonds or scallop edges, inspired by timelessness and modernity, create a luxurious harmony in simple and sophisticated shapes.
